The summit will address the obesity epidemic and provide strategies for building a healthy community. “B-GIRL” Film Screenings to Benefit Paso Robles Youth Arts Foundation

On Friday and Saturday, August 20th and 21st 2010, the dance feature film B-GIRL will be screening in Paso Robles to benefit the Paso Robles Youth Arts Foundation.  The screenings are sponsored by Dubost Winery and the San Luis Obispo Film Festival. Starring the world’s most decorated female breakdancer, Jules 'Lady Jules' Urich, B-GIRL tells the story of a brilliant young female dancer forced to find her inner strength through Breaking.  Writer/Director Emily Dell and Producer (and sister) Elizabeth Dell will be in town to discuss the film. 

On Friday August 20th, at 8pm the film will be screened at the Paso Robles Youth Arts Foundation (PRYAF), 3201 Spring St.

Paso Robles Airport Day - Aviation Expo

Don't miss the 8th annual “Paso Robles Airport Day” on Saturday, September 11th, at the Paso Robles Airport main terminal.  Gates open at 9am and the show concludes at 3:30pm.

 ***FREE*** Admission and Parking

    Flying demonstrations by Full Size and Radio Controlled  model Aircraft.  Military and Civilian Aircraft, Helicopters, Ultra-lights and Radio Controlled model aircraft on static display.  Bi-Plane and Helicopter rides.  EAA “Young Eagles Flights” will also be available.  Raffle prize drawings, food and refreshments.

Classic Car Excitement in Paso Robles

Come enjoy an entire weekend filled with classic car excitement that includes a car show, a preview cruise and Sunday Drives.

This year's special guest is Jerry Magnuson with his 1932 Ford Roadster "Magnatude", that was designed by Mr. Magnuson, Chip Foose and Marcel DeLay and was just awarded the 2010 Goodguys "Street Rod D'Elegance" award and is currently part of the Hot Rod Magazine Power Tour ‘10.

Tractor Show!

(Atascadero CA) The Best of the West 50th Anniversary National Show presented by the Early Day Gas Engine & Tractor Association will be held June 24 – 27 at the historic Santa Margarita Ranch just north of Atascadero on Highway 101. Admission is $10 per day or $25 for all four days. Kids under 10 will be admitted for free. RV parking is available for $20 for the week.

Join us for one of the biggest shows to hit the West Coast area. See many engines, tractors, miniature models, small trains and more. See the historic horse drawn steam power pumper. View antique Caterpillar machinery.

SLO Model Railroad Association & Paso Robles City Library Host Event
New Layouts and Historical Displays will be Featured
 

The San Luis Obispo Model Railroad Association and the Paso Robles City Library will be co-hosting a special event as part of the Summer Reading Program on Saturday, June 12th, from 10am to 4pm.  This will be a free community event.  The SLOMRA will be featuring several operating model train layouts and displays in HO, N, O and On30 scales.

Olive Lovers: Mark Your Calendars

PASO ROBLES -- Event organizers are preparing for the 7th Annual Paso Robles Olive Festival set for this summer.

It's put on by the Paso Robles Main Street Association.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 21, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and stop by the Paso Robles Downtown City Park.

Admission is free.

The Olive Festival features Olive Oil and Olive vendors both locally and outside our county featuring their products along with free olive oil tasting, tasting seminars, cooking demonstrations, and a head-to-head chef cook-off in our outdoor kitchen stadium.

Local wineries and breweries will be feature tastings and a commemorative wine glass for a fee.

There will be an Olive-inspired cooking contest and delicious olive-inspired food sold in the Olive Festival Culinary Row. Anyone is welcome to enter the cooking contest and/or submit recipes for our Olive Festival Cookbook.

 Teens At Work, an Atascadero non-profit organization is dedicated to building confidence and self esteem in the youth of our community by preparing them for the workforce with an emphasis on strong work ethics and self-reliance.

 The youth who participate in the program operate a city wide recycling program.

The Board of Directors of the Paderewski Festival in Paso Robles Announce: A Toast To Paderewski

Come raise a toast to Paderewski’s 150th Birthday with a Back Roads wine tasting, Polish-themed delicacies and a very special concert on Saturday, April 24 at the Pear Valley Winery in Paso Robles.

The Paderewski Festival and the Back Roads Wineries of Paso Robles invite lovers of fine wine and music to a reception showcasing the wines of the Back Roads Wineries complemented by Polish-themed appetizers provided by Cass Catering. 

Pianist Marek Zebrowski, a Steinway artist and director of the Polish Music Center at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music, will be joined by the Midnight Winds to perform a special concert featuring works by Paderewski, Chopin and Mozart. 

A live auction of private concerts, premium wines and vacation package getaways will follow the concert.
