Eight People Arrested on Drug Charges Following Festival | Crime

PASO ROBLES -- Authorities have arrested eight people on drug related charges stemming from an annual event held at a local saloon.

THE FOLLOWING IS A PRESS RELEASE ISSUED BY THE SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY NARCOTICS TASK FORCE:

On April 18, 2010, the San Luis Obispo County Narcotic Task Force, with the assistance of the United States Forrest Service, the California Highway Patrol, San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Department, Paso Robles Police Department, San Luis Obispo Police Department, Atascadero Police Department, Pismo Beach Police Department, Arroyo Grande Police Department, conducted a narcotic investigation at the 3rd Annual 420 Festival held at the Pozo Saloon, 90 Pozo Road in Santa Margarita, California.

As a result of the investigation agents arrested eight (8) individuals on various charges of selling controlled substances.  Agents seized various amounts of Marijuana, Ecstasy and prescription drugs.  Three (3) additional subjects were arrested near the event for driving under the influence of drugs. 

Daniel D. Steil, 23; Kathryn Emick, 20; Patrick L. Yeager, 21; Marcus C. Wolf, 21; and Daniel Holt, 27, were arrested for Health and Safety Code Section 11359, Possession for Sale of a Controlled Substance and Health and Safety Code Section 11360, Sales of a Controlled Substance.  Amber R. Carter, 26, and Christopher M. Costley, 26, were arrested for Health and Safety Code Section 11352, Sales of a Controlled Substance.   Efren Gutierrez Jr., 20, was arrested for Health and Safety Code Section 11378, Possession for Sale of a Controlled Substance and Health and Safety Code Section 11379, Sales of a Controlled Substance.

All individuals arrested during the investigation were booked at the San Luis Obispo County Jail.
